New Things: Video of the week & Song of the week (VOTW & SOTW)

Hello Lovelies,

I have been remiss in getting the shows to you and that sort of thing, but 18 credits of awfulness, will do that to you.

However, I will be somewhat better off by Thursday, and lo and behold there will be another show, until then (when I can get all caught up), I will bore you with another video you may, or may not have seen/heard.

This will be the 1st post, in a video of the week, which I hope will either be tied into the show, or at least an awesome piece of sound & vision.

I will also be doing a song of the week, which I will be giving away which will be uncompressed so you can listen to it in all its glory on your crappy computer speakers/headphones -_-

Seriously, your ears will thank you if you upgrade your sound making device.

Without further adieu.....

1st Video Of The Week:

DJ Shadow: Blood On The Motorway (Fan-made video version)

from the album The Private Press

This video is made by a fan, it fits the song so, so, well. This song usually makes me feel is about 1000 different emotions when I hear it, I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it, and I hope you do too.

I love so many video's but this is easily 1 of my favorites.

I also own this video if anyone want's a copy, shoot me an email, with some contact info, and i'll do you 1 better.

I hope you watched the whole video, it does something to you, doesn't it?

When is someone going to give me $$ to do this?

Or when am I going to have the $$ to go on a trip like this 0_o

I know it is kinda passe to just blow $$ like this, but you kinda gotta admit, it does look like a lot of fun.

On a side note they have 1 other video called 'baby baby baby', which is amazing also

MAKE THE GIRL DANCE [KILL ME] (official video)

The group is called: Make The Girl Dance
The song is called: Kill Me

I'm sorry, but this video just makes me happy, but seriously, what record label gave these dudes this $$

See you all later on tonight,

There are many superior songs in this set, however they are not necessarily the agreed upon 'greatest' hits of said artists. They are what I feel were the best songs that would fit into the show, given the artist's picked, and what I think are their best songs. For sure there are many other songs I could have picked, and there are other artist's who fit into the idea of 'best & biggest' dance acts. Hopefully you find this as illuminating as enjoyable.

Why does this song not make me cringe?

Feb 18th Show in a couple of days, until then this song should tide you over, I think it is catchy and although tattoos are not a good look in my book, dude still has some visuals and charisma going on.

Plus songs about Ninjas have already been certified awesome

Best mashup of 2010 DONE

Will the music gods continue to bring forth gifts?

Dizzee Rascal? Check
Florence & The Machine? Check

Mad Flow/ Loud Pipes? Check & Check

Everybody wants to be famous,

Nobody wants to be nameless, aimless,

People act shameless

Tryna live like entertainers,

Want a fat crib with the acres,

So they spend money that they ain’t made yet,

Got a benz on tik that they ain’t paid yet,

Spend their pay cheque

In the west end on the weekend

Got no money by the end of the weekend.

But they don’t care cos their life is a movie,

Starring Louis V, paid for by yours truly,

Truthfully, its a joke, like a bad episode of hollyoaks,

Can’t keep up with the cover notes,

So they got bad credit livin’ on direct debit,

In debt but they still don’t get

Cos they too busy livin’ the high life, the night life

Huggin’ the high way, livin’ large

And they all say

Let me take you down to London city

Where the attitudes bad and the weather is shitty

Everybody’s on the paper chase, its one big rat race

Everybody got a screw face

So many too fake

Checking the height, they say they ready to ride

Im on the inside looking at the outside

So its a accurate reflection

City wide north east west and the south side

Everywhere I go there’s a girl on the corner

Guns and drugs got the city like a sauna,

And its getting warmer and out of order

Trying to put a struggling mother to a morner

Mr politician can you tell me the solution

Whats the answer whats the conclusion

Is it an illusion.

Is it a mirage.

I see youngers dieing coz their tryna live large??

And they all say

We are livin in the days of the credit crunch

Give me the doh

Im trying have a bunch

But I cant have rice for lunch

its not there aint enough to share

Ain’t fair never dreamed that he could be rare

Who cares who dares to make a change

Everybody in the club trying to make it rain

But not for famine just for the sake of habit

15 minutes of fame and everything’s the same

Again and again I see the same thing

Everybody acting like they their plane sailin’

I see rough seas ahead maybe a recession

And then a depression in whatever profession

This is my confession I cant fight im in the forefront

Living for money ready to start like a bungee jump

With no rope but I ain’t trying to see the bottom

Because that’s were I came from, I ain’t forgotten

Be My Valentine

I hope you had a happy V-Day, I did.

Anyway here is an hour of music to hopefully get you to first base.

Put on and enjoy

It is in 5 parts and the songs got all jumbled up and rearranged, if you want to listen to it how I intended it to be listened to then you need to reorder the songs into the track-listing that follows.

I would recommend listening to it as intended, don't be a jerk, just listen to it how I say ;)

Part A
Part B
Part C
Part D
Part E

(The parts are just that, not in order, had to move things around so I didn't have to make 10 drops)

1. This Could Be The Start Of Something Big

2. Your Love
3. Unfoolish
4. I Won't Let The Chump Break Your Heart
5. Crazy For You
6. I've Fallen In Love With You
7. I'm On Fire
8. Sex On Fire
9. Little Bit
10. See Me Through
11. Number 1
12. Music Sounds Better With You
13. Stuck On Repeat
14. Love Will Tear Us Apart
15. I Need Love

16. You've Got The Love

If you put the songs into this order you are a genius and I love you.

*Note these song's are uncompressed (you're welcome for that), as such that is why the drops are so big.
